Supporting Trinity MAT - Crysp property compliance management software

Trinity MAT case study - See how Crysp's compliance management software supports educational organisations

Crysp supports clients across a spectrum of sectors. All are linked via a common goal of creating safer spaces for everyone.

Crysp services may be seen supporting public service facilities, schools & education, EDF nuclear power installations, Deli Fresh distribution centres, retail outlets, clinical centres and a whole range of diverse estates Crysp touches almost every one of us across the UK in some way.

The Crysp digital platform is trusted to safely store critical certificates and documents - accessible to update at a moment's notice or upon the request of those that need to see them by some of the most security-led organisations in the UK. Hierarchical levels of access mean everyone who plays a part in compliance can efficiently fulfil their role. Forms and questionnaires can be accessed, seen and stored quickly and safely. Renewal reminders ensure nothing is inadvertently missed. Crysp removes the need for handling paper and moving documents around by hand, overland, which aside from convenience also contributes to reduced waste and carbon footprint.

The wider Crysp team also supports clients in the physical world, helping to set up a portal, and hands support with on-site inspections where required.

This rare combination of digital support running alongside practical expertise has proved to be a winning formula for Crysp clients facing evermore complex compliance legislation and guidelines.

Case Study: Crysp supporting Trinity MAT with Property, and health and safety Compliance

Trinity Multi Academy Trust (Trinity MAT)

Trinity Multi Academy Trust (Trinity MAT) founded in 2015 has ten academies covering the stages between primary to secondary education levels. The ethos of the trust is to make a positive difference in the lives of as many young people as possible.

Trinity MAT has set out to achieve the Planet Mark committing to continuous improvement in sustainability across its business operations. Trinity MAT will also be protecting an area of an endangered rainforest with the support of Cool Earth, a charity that works alongside rainforest communities fighting the deforestation process. A community that Cool Earth supports directly is the Asháninka community in Central Peru.

Crysp’s CEO Pete Mills had a conversation with Trinity MAT’s chief operations officer Peter Knight about how Crysp’s compliance software has helped the trust face challenges in the education sector.

The Challenge

Trinity MAT has an exceptional level of compliance management which has been supported by the hard work of Peter Knight, the chief operations officer. He says that they are handling things in a pretty organised and balanced way so that they are safe and compliant at all times. The main challenges that Trinity MAT had and needed Crysp’s support with were their ''preventative maintenance tuning process’’, ‘’policy management’’, and the ‘organisation of their ‘‘central staff record’’. Peter Knight trusted that Crysp’s compliance software would help ‘’clear the desk’’ for the principal and take away all the pressure that comes with keeping track of all the things they have to legally and internally comply with.

Our Approach - Crysp compliance management software platform

We provided support to Trinity MAT’s challenges making sure that all their compliance is stress-free, well-organised, and systematically executed. The organisation needed a one-for-everything platform they could trust and easily navigate and Crysp offered that. All compliance is now kept in one place at their fingertips. In the areas that Trinity MAT saw the most difficulty with, Crysp managed to easily resolve and balance out for everyone’s piece of mind while keeping costs to a minimum.

The Results

Crysp helped Trinity MAT in creating a centralised system keeping all documentation related to their central staff record which is a legal requirement. Now everything is neat, kept safe, and easy to access in one go. The organisation is now confidently managing its policy records digitally where there is a clear trail of individual accountability. Crysp’s compliance software managed to resolve the stress of keeping track of staff training and set a system in place where further training and support can be scheduled for staff members. Health and safety audits are easily accessed and ready to present to the relevant legal authorities with confidence that all is safe and compliant. Risk management has been minimised due to the preventative maintenance measures scheduled and documented using Crysp’s compliance management system.

We simply gave Trinity MAT’s authority members more time to focus on the impactful work they do supporting students across the country by taking away the hours and stress of navigating and managing compliance to a much simpler and cost-effective system working in their favour.

What Peter Knight, Chief Operations Officer, had to say about working with Crysp:

‘’Now we had a previous system, which wasn't well-used. I think the thing that's different with Crysp, is it's more intuitive, and it's easier to set up and operate. What I'm interested in are systems that are intuitive, and that work for the organisation, not systems that impose bureaucracy that's not needed. Actually, that's part of the decision for Crysp. It's the fact that we've got a system that operates, that flags, that has all the things that if I go on and log in and have a look and see if there's a red and I can drill down and go, “why is that red? Why has somebody not done something? If the Health and Safety Executive came in and did any audits on us, we've got Crysp, and we can demonstrate what we've got in terms of compliance. I think that's the sort of level of compliance model I'm interested in. Because that way, there's a line of sight in everything, and you're not missing anything. Also, you can spot where people aren't perhaps doing things to plan, and then you can put very good interventions in.’’
