Crysp Customer Advisory Board Meeting #2: Insights on Risk Management & Growth

At Crysp, we know the best ideas come when we work hand-in-hand with our clients. Yesterday, we hosted our second Customer Advisory Board (CAB) meeting, bringing together leaders from five Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) to tackle key auditing challenges and shape the future of our services.

“It felt like a true partnership,” says Jane Smith, CAB member from Greenfield MAT. “We walked away with clear, actionable steps.”

Why We Host a Customer Advisory Board

We believe continuous improvement stems from collaboration. Our CAB provides a forum for MAT leaders to:

  • Share real-world insights

  • Address common audit concerns

  • Co-create tailored risk-management solutions

Key Takeaways from CAB #2

One of our primary focuses of the meeting was feedback from our auditing team, discussing some of the issues that regularly come up during our inspections. We discussed:

  • Housekeeping standards

  • Electrical hazards

  • Fire Doors

  • Security of staff rooms

These topics sparked a productive conversation around best practices, accountability and Crysp can better support Trusts in addressing these areas through proactive risk management and tailored reporting.

Even the simplest things can have major safety ramifications. From housekeeping through to security breaches can endanger lives

Introducing Our New Advisor: Donna Storey

We also took a moment to reflect on our growth and internal developments, formally introducing Donna Storey, who joined Crysp in November. Donna’s background and her experience since joining us have already made a significant impact, and we’re excited about the direction she’s helping us take, particularly as we explore a new advisor role to further strengthen our client support model.

Shaping Our Audit Reports

One of the most valuable parts of the auditing session came when we turned the tables and asked our CAB members a key question:

“What do you want to see in your final audit reports?”

The feedback we received was insightful and incredibly constructive. It’s clear our clients want clear actionable and concise reporting that supports informed decision making at all levels. We’re now in the process of evaluating this feedback and will be working closely with our team to refine our reporting approach whilst also using the data to create our very own reporting system.

Launching the Digital Twin Consortium Testbed Initiative

Dr David McKee, our CTO, introduced the CRYSP.ai digital twin consortium testbed—a collaborative platform designed to standardize and accelerate real-time, AI-driven asset and facility management.

  • Standardizes a blueprint to transform paper-based processes into real-time, AI-driven asset and facility management

  • Integrates Martyn’s Law–aligned fault scenarios to enhance safety and regulatory compliance

  • Aims to improve operational efficiency, ESG outcomes, and compliance monitoring

  • Engages initial testbed sites and consortium partners across multiple sectors in 2025

  • Sets the stage for developing our Intelligent Assurance Testbed for digital twins

A heartfelt thank you to all who participated. These sessions are vital to our mission of delivering meaningful and practical support to our client, and we’re proud to work alongside such dedicated and thoughtful partners.
