Celebrating our very own Pete Mills as one of Brabners' True North 27 for 27

We're incredibly proud to share that our Executive Director, Pete Mills, has been named in Brabners' True North 27 for 27, recognising business leaders making a significant contribution to entrepreneurship, innovation and economic growth across the North of England.

Brabners' True North 27 for 27 initiative celebrates 27 founders, leaders and changemakers who are building successful businesses, driving innovation and making a lasting impact across the region.

Over the coming months, Brabners will share the stories of those recognised, exploring their business journeys, experiences and ambitions, while highlighting the individuals helping to shape the future of the North.

Supporting business growth in Bradford and across the North

Since Crysp was founded in Bradford in 2021, Pete has played an important role in our growth, helping us develop from a Yorkshire-based business into an international provider of compliance and health & safety services.

Today, we're proud to support over 500 clients across the UK, Europe and North America, while remaining firmly rooted at our headquarters in Salts Mill, Saltaire. Our Bradford roots remain an important part of who we are, and Pete's commitment to supporting the Northern business community is something we share across Crysp.

Alongside his role with us, Pete also serves as Chair of the Bradford District Place Making and Investment Partnership, contributing to efforts to encourage investment, strengthen the local economy and support Bradford's future development.

Pete's commitment to the region extends beyond Bradford, with a dedication to supporting Northern businesses in achieving national and international success. Recognising the connections between towns, cities and business communities across the North, he continues to advocate for the opportunities, talent and potential that exist throughout the region.

Reflecting on his recognition, Pete shared:

"I'm passionate about building businesses in the North of England that have a national and global impact. To be recognised through True North 27 for 27 is a fantastic acknowledgement of the work we're doing at Crysp and the impact we're striving to make.

It's also a real privilege to be recognised alongside such a fantastic group of mission-led individuals, all contributing in different ways to the growth, innovation and future of the North. I'm grateful to Brabners for bringing together this network and shining a spotlight on the opportunities and achievements across our region.”

Celebrating Northern entrepreneurship and innovation

The North of England has a rich history of industry, enterprise and innovation, with its businesses and leaders continuing to contribute to the region's growth and development.

Brabners' True North 27 for 27 initiative provides an opportunity to celebrate these contributions, while bringing together a network of individuals who share ambitions for the North's future.

The official 27 for 27 launch will take place on Tuesday 17 November 2026 at The Lowry, Salford Quays, bringing together those recognised for a special exhibition and showcase evening.

At Crysp, we're incredibly proud to see Pete recognised alongside 26 other inspiring individuals who are contributing to the North's growth and success. His continued dedication to supporting entrepreneurship, encouraging investment and creating opportunities across the region is something we value greatly as a team.

A huge congratulations to Pete and everyone recognised in Brabners' True North 27 for 27!

As Crysp continues to grow beyond Yorkshire, we're proud to remain part of the Northern business community that has played such an important role in our journey. Pete's recognition is a reminder of the talent, ambition and opportunities that exist across the North, and we're excited to see what the future holds for the region and the businesses helping to shape it.
